After meeting up at the Old Swan Fire Station, about a dozen of us set off at 11.15 for the ride to the Ferry Tavern. Our route was via Prescot- Rainhill (where we were met by Chris and Jenny Oxley.) Then on to the Stoops and through to the A5080 Bold Heath to Penketh and cut back towards Fiddlers Ferry on the A562. Down Tannery Lane and on to Station Road then down the Lane alongside the canal to the Tavern. We arrived just after midday, to find to my surprise that we were the first to arrive. The main body of scooters (Cloud9 and Bromborough) arrived about 30 minutes later due to a breakdown. Then a few more clubs came swelling the numbers to well over one hundred Scooters at about 1.45 After some refreshments and a good old natter. Most people were starting to make a move for home. A good day even if it was a little on the chilly side.
