LSC Open Day 2024

Liverpool Scooter Club would like to thank all those who came from near and far to make our open day a success once again. It was a fantastic turnout. It would be unfair to try and name all the clubs and individuals who were there as we would inevitably leave someone out unintentionally, you all know who you are though! and many thanks to the guy who flew from Spain especially to be with us.  Unfortunately, we had to revise the rideout route due to a last minute road closure and far as we know there was only one breakdown on the way to the Alder Club.

At the beginning of the year, our good friend and clubmate Anthony Barnbrock (Barney) passed away very suddenly due to a medical issue. Barney had crush injuries from the Hillsborough disaster and despite those injuries, he tried to save many people on the pitch on that fateful day. Barney had travelled all over Europe with LSC on his scooter to the EuroLambretta rallies. In memory of Barney, we were able to present a cheque to the Hillsborough support group for £1100 from our club funds. Barney’s parents and family were present and we also gave them an engraved plaque commemorating their son.

Your kind donations along with the money raised from the sale of the raffle tickets and burgers at our open day will be deposited into our charity account and will be dispersed to worthy causes in due course.
We hope you all enjoyed the day and had safe journeys home. We’ll see you all again soon, best Wishes and thanks again from all at Liverpool Scooter Club.
