LSC is finally back at the Cambridge pub! 09.07.20

The Government announced the re-opening of pubs from the 4th of July, which was a Saturday. It would be five days later until the Liverpool Scooter Club would be able to meet once again at the Cambridge. Dan and Jo have done everything they can to make sure that the pub is safe in accordance with the guidelines. When we arrived at the pub, we found that there was hand sanitiser at the main door and bottles of sanitiser placed all around the pub. There is a Perspex screen on the bar where you order your drinks, with no standing at the bar once you’ve received them. There is ample outdoor seating where social distancing can be practised and the rest is up to the common sense of the customers. There are some members who understandably don’t feel ready to return, but there was a surprisingly large turnout of members including our friend Brian who has not been for some time due to illness.  About six to eight members arrived on scooters despite the forecast arrival of rain later in the evening.

So, a slow and safe return to our hobby of riding scooters and meeting at the Cambridge. We still have a long way to go as this pandemic is still with us. Please be careful to maintain social distancing and take all the necessary precautions to safeguard your own personal health. We look forward to welcoming more of our members back to the club as the weeks and months progress.

From all at LSC,

please stay safe!
