We met up at the old Mersey tunnel (6 riders in total) to ride to the Old Stores Motorbike Cafe in Pontblyddyn to meet up with the Flint, Chester and Wrexham clubs. Paul Thompson met us there after riding direct from Runcorn at about 12.00. We set off for the short 16 mile or so ride to Llangollen via the Horse Shoe Pass (very windy over the top!) then parking up in front of the Bridge End Hotel. A quick Drink then off to find some food. Some of the lads wanted to head back early, for the 3rd round FA Cup, Merseyside Derby game that had a 16:00 kick off.
So just myself, Tom and Jade being the last ones to leave Llangollen at about 14:30. We decided to ride home via the A5, A483, A56 towards Runcorn and we finally reached Liverpool at approximately 15:45.
Hats off to young Tom our newest member and to Jade, who finished her 12 hour night shift at 8am. Jade had been home, showered and met us at 10am for the ride, she was due back in work for another 12 hour shift 4 hours after getting home from our 100 mile round trip!
