On a cool and blustery Sunday morning I met up with Mac at 9.50 opposite the Queensway tunnel, then we set off to meet up with Cloud 9, Brombourgh SC and others, for the ride to Billy Jeans Cafe. Unfortunately a few of us were stopped at traffic lights on the A550 Welsh Road. We took the A55 Towards Halkyn when Richie from C9 directed us to come off for Queensferry and then eventually onto the A548 through Flint up to the Holywell Rd. There were some lovely back roads on the way to the cafe. On arrival we had a not so quick cuppa then on to the Blue Bell pub. I enjoyed a pint of the ‘Black stuff’ in their warm lounge! Then off we go towards Mold and through the country lanes up to Dobbs hill and onto the A41 to the Queensway tunnel, where I parted company with Mac. I decided to stop the Alder Club on my way home for Guinness and a quick chat with Paul. I managed to find a quiet corner to sort out my pics of the day. When I was leaving I put a “Barney” sticker on the wall alongside the others.
